The 3-6-9 game.3-6-9 is a specialty bowling game. While it is bowled traditionally like normal bowling, 3-6-9 adds scoring by providing the participants with free strikes in frames 3, 6, and 9. The first two frames are bowled normally. After the second frame, the computer automatically places a strike in the third frame. The computer will also put a strike in frames 6 and 9 as the fifth and eighth frames are completed, respectably. If a spare or strike is bowled in the frame before the automatic strike, the value of the free strike applies to that spare or strike, so bowling a mark around the free strike or spare can really boost a score. If the bowler throws two consecutive strikes, the positioning of the three strikes guarantee at least a triple strike or turkey. 3-6-9 is a game that is often selected for a league Christmas fun night.
